Originally a native of Connecticut, the early portion of his life and firefighting career was spent in the Nutmeg State between Newington and New Britain. After a decade at home, he expanded his horizons to New York City where in 1990, he’d join the FDNY. Across 31 years, just about all of it was spent as an Engineman in houses like 47, 69, & 88.

One of his lasting contributions to the department was his large hand in rewriting the FDNY’s Engine Operations Manual. I’m talking about Lieutenant Timothy J Klett who’ll be the guest for Volume 44 of The Best of The Bravest: Interviews With The FDNY’s Elite.
