35 years on the job, 19 in ESU. Commands like Harlem and The Bronx were his training grounds. The streets of New York City a humbling and constant teacher. Those lessons and moments of note would continue with the Emergency Service Unit upon his entry into the unit in 2003.
He’d stay there for 19 years, finishing up a stellar career as a Deputy Chief in the unit in 2022. He is Chief Robert Lukach and he’s the guest for Volume 41 of the E-Men: Inside The NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit.
