For 21 years he got down and dirty as a member of the New York City Fire Department. Coming onto the job in 1981, he spent the first decade of his career as an engine man in houses like Engine 90, 217, and 331. Making Lieutenant in 1991, his other stops would include Battalion 53, the Training Division, and the Special Operations Command as a member of Haz-Mat 1 which he’d arrive to in November of 1994 in what would ultimately be his final stop before his retirement in October of 2002. He’s retired Lieutenant Stan Rybak and he’s the guest for Volume 52 of The Best of The Bravest: Interviews with The FDNY’s Elite.
