In 2004, Paul DeMatteis was working as global security director for Prudential Bank when a terrorist hellbent on striking further fear into the hearts of New Yorkers and tri-state residents after September 11, 2001, devised a plot to conduct bombings of the bank in an effort to stifle the American economy.
Thanks to the efforts of Paul and his team that did not come to be. This was a unique show from the standpoint that I’ve always of course documented the law enforcement side of counterterrorism operations but just as important to those missions are those in the private sector whose partnership and acumen are simply invaluable, this story being stone cold proof as to why.
Good talking with Paul for Episode 308 of the Mic’d In New Haven Podcast.
