For 35 years he was on the front lines with the FDNY. No stranger to danger, his commands were busy, his fires many, and his tours never boring. The President of the Lieutenant Joseph P. DiBernardo Foundation, he runs it in memory of his son, who on November 22, 2011 died tragically in the line of duty 6 years after injuries he sustained in the infamous 2005 Black Sunday Fire in The Bronx.
