NY Times Reporter on Career Defining Pulitzer Nominated Story

Though many societal evolutions aren’t positive ones, in my humble opinion, the emphasis given to discussing mental health is one of the few that is positive. In particular, how we treat those battling mental illness is a topic especially at the forefront of discussion.

A reporter for the Boston Globe assigned to the Spotlight Team, Maria Cramer was in ideal position to highlight the plight the ill of mind have faced and are continuously facing in Massachusetts, and how they and the police so frequently tasked with handling are so often left unfairly holding the bag. The work she and her team did culminated with a Pulitzer nomination.

This was a great discussion and I’m glad we had it. Fun episode.
