On October 12, 2000 on the hostile seas of Yemen, the USS Cole, a United States Navy guided missile destroyer came under attack when terrorists aboard a fiberglass boat detonated an arsenal of C4 explosives, injuring 37 sailors, and killing 17.
Assigned as the Office of Origin for any terrorist incident in the world, the NYPD/FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force headed abroad to hunt for those who gave the deadly orders. Among that cadre was Detective Paul Kwiecinski. A veteran of the NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit, his E-Man instincts would certainly be needed as stared down cold blooded killers who made menaces stateside look tame by comparison.
