(FRIDAY, 6PM)
A true New Yorker, he is someone who grew up with dual passions—protecting his city and performing on stage and screen. Joining the NYPD in 1968, he dedicated 24 years to the department, rising to the rank of Captain along the way. His career was marked by a 12-year assignment in the Narcotics Division and two years as the Commanding Officer of the 17th Precinct on Manhattan’s East Side.
Beginning his acting career at age 29, he took his first acting lesson while still on duty as an officer, playing roles in Law & Order, The Sopranos, and Third Watch, among others. After retiring from the NYPD, he brought his real-world experience to Hollywood and Broadway, where he made his debut in Take Me Out.
Joe Lisi will join me on the next episode of the Mic’d In New Haven Podcast.
