(MONDAY, 6PM)
After a 5 month hiatus, we’re back. And as all new episodes of the Mic’d In New Haven podcast air once again, I reach into the vault to bring you this previously recorded interview from February. My guest? He began his NYPD career in 2001 as part of the storied “9/11 Class.” Starting at PSA 5, he served in patrol, community engagement, and gang enforcement before earning his promotion to sergeant in 2007.
His leadership journey took him to the 7th Precinct and later to the elite Emergency Service Unit, where he graduated from Specialized Training School in 2012. Rising through the ranks, he served in roles spanning ESU Special Projects, WMD/Hazmat operations, and citywide supervision of tactical teams. That was Captain David Reilly and this will be Volume 51 of The E-Men: Inside The NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit.
