The year was 1999. To that point in what was at the time a 15-year career, Roger Clemens had done just about everything. A multiple time All Star, Cy Young Award winner, two 20 strikeout games under his belt.

Yet, one thing remained missing: a World Series ring. When he was traded to the Yankees in 1999, it proved his best chance to finally reach that all too elusive goal. On October 27, 1999, as he took the mound at Yankee Stadium with the Bronx Bombers up 3-0 in the Series on the Atlanta Braves, his wait would end.

I aim big on this podcast because I want it to be big. My brother in law and I work harder than anybody to land the people we do and build the library we have. This was as big as it gets. What a treat to chat with The Rocket.
