“If I could bottle up that feeling and sell it, I’d be rich”
With 38 years on the job, the last four as Chief of Department, John Sudnik never lost his appetite for the fire service. From his days as a probie at 23 Engine in Midtown Manhattan to his run as the New York City Fire Department’s highest ranking uniformed member, he loved the job because he lived the job and that was quite evident in this interview.
