He recalls rushing to the scene to confirm Bobby Jr.’s situation before waking his father, promising to stand beside him through the rescue, and watching special operations crews perform extraordinary work under impossible conditions.
Though Williamson was lost, multiple members — including Bobby Jr. — were recovered and, after a long road of healing, returned to serve.
