This week on Mic’d In New Haven, it’s The E-Men: Inside the NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit, Volume 54 — and my guest is retired NYPD Lieutenant Glenn Daley.

A 23-year veteran of the department, Glenn’s career spanned some of New York’s most turbulent decades — from the crack era to 9/11. Starting out in the Housing Police, he worked the city’s toughest developments before joining elite units like the Tactical Patrol Force and Bronx Task Force, eventually landing where New York’s most versatile cops serve: Emergency Service.

From handling heavy weapons and instructing tactics to responding to the city’s most critical incidents, Glenn brought calm to chaos. And later, he took that expertise to the skies — serving more than a decade in the NYPD Aviation Unit as both a pilot and instructor.

A steady hand, a leader, and a true professional — that’s retired Lieutenant Glenn Daley, on The E-Men: Inside the NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit, Volume 54 — only on the Mic’d In New Haven Podcast.
