This week on Mic’d In New Haven, we hit a milestone — Episode 400 — and we’re marking it with a leader whose career reflects exactly what this series is about.
My guest is Hoboken Deputy Fire Chief Joe Grossi, a fire officer whose path has been defined by steady progression, operational depth, and years spent where the real work gets done.
Appointed in the late 2000s, Chief Grossi came up through one of Hoboken’s busiest firehouses, earned his spot in the rescue company, and spent more than a decade operating and leading in some of the city’s most technical and demanding environments. Rising through the ranks to Battalion Chief — and now Deputy Chief — his career represents the balance between hands-on credibility and command-level responsibility.
Episode 400. Leadership earned the right way.
That’s Deputy Chief Joe Grossi, on Best of The Bravest: Nationwide Edition — only on the Mic’d In New Haven Podcast.
