(FRIDAY, 6PM)
This week on Mic’d In New Haven, it’s another volume of The E-Men: Inside The NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit — and my guest is John Coughlin.
For 21 years, John served as a police officer in New York City — first with the Transit Police prior to the 1995 merger, and then with the NYPD after the consolidation. Eighteen of those years were spent in rescue assignments, working with the Transit Police Emergency Rescue Unit and later the NYPD’s elite Emergency Service Unit.
From subway rescues to citywide emergencies, his beat was anything but ordinary — a career defined by action, adaptability, and life-saving work in some of the toughest environments New York has to offer.
That’s John Coughlin, on The E-Men: Inside The NYPD’s Emergency Service Unit — only on the Mic’d In New Haven Podcast.
