Growing up in a New York City firehouse, Mike turned a childhood love of the job into a decades-long career in the fire service. After years working in the trades, he joined the Stamford Fire Department, where he spent two decades operating with Rescue 1.

Today, he’s widely recognized for his expertise in elevator emergencies through his company, Dragon Rescue Management. From FDNY to Boston, Chicago to Los Angeles, he’s helped departments across the country rethink and retrain for one of the most common — and potentially dangerous — calls firefighters face.
