Approaching four decades in the fire service, Chief Thode began his career in 1987 with the Bridgeport Fire Department, serving the city for 34 years. But he’s far from done. Today, he continues to lead from the front as the Chief of Department in Danbury, Connecticut.

From big-city experience to department-wide command, his career reflects longevity, leadership, and a continued commitment to the job.
