This week on Mic’d In New Haven, my guest is Mollie Walker, New York Rangers beat reporter for the New York Post and co-host of the popular Rangers podcast Up In The Blue Seats.

For Mollie, sports and writing have been lifelong passions, and she’s managed to turn both into a career covering some of the biggest stories in New York sports.

A graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Mollie cut her teeth in sports journalism with the Massachusetts Daily Collegian, covering everything from soccer and basketball to baseball and hockey, including UMass’s memorable run to the 2019 Frozen Four.

Along the way, she gained experience with the Fischler Report, Daily Hampshire Gazette, The Hockey Writers, and the New York Post, eventually joining the Post full-time in June 2019.

Today, she’s one of the paper’s primary voices covering the New York Rangers, co-hosts Up In The Blue Seats, and serves on the executive board of the Professional Hockey Writers Association.

From covering college athletics to reporting on one of the NHL’s most storied franchises, Mollie has built a career doing what she loves while giving hockey fans an inside look at the Blueshirts.

That’s Mollie Walker of the New York Post, on the Mic’d In New Haven Podcast.
