(MONDAY, 6PM)
This week on Mic’d In New Haven, it’s another volume of The Beat: Profiles of Police Nationwide — and my guest is retired Miami-Dade Police Detective Jeff Lewis.
As Will Smith once famously said, “The heat is on!” And for 30 years, Jeff Lewis was policing the streets of Miami, investigating some of the city’s most serious crimes.
Beginning his law enforcement career in the fall of 1980, Jeff started in patrol before moving into criminal investigations, spending 14 years in the Robbery Division and another 14 years in Homicide.
Over those three decades, he investigated and helped solve countless cases, earning more than 100 commendations for his service, including the prestigious Attorney General’s Award in 2001.
From the streets of Miami to the interrogation room, from robberies to murder investigations — we’re talking about three decades of detective work in one of America’s most recognizable cities.
That’s retired Miami-Dade Detective Jeff Lewis, on The Beat: Profiles of Police Nationwide — only on the Mic’d In New Haven Podcast.
